Don’t worry! This is a standard message designed by printer manufacturers to encourage you to buy their expensive brand-name ink.

• Remove the cartridge from the printer.

• Locate the small gold/copper chip on the cartridge.

• Gently wipe it with a dry, lint-free cloth or a cotton swab.

• Re-insert the cartridge firmly until you hear a “click.”

• Restart your printer.

The Fix: 1. Go to your printer’s Maintenance or Setup menu. 2. Select “Printhead Cleaning” or “Nozzle Check.” 3. Run the cleaning cycle 1–2 times. This “primes” the cartridge and clears any air bubbles or dried residue.
